Introduction
Therapy can sometimes feel mysterious or hard to put into words. In this space, I try to make some of the ideas behind psychodynamic therapy easier to understand and more relatable to everyday life.
I will be writing about things like:
Why we often repeat the same patterns in relationships or behaviour, and how therapy helps us notice and change them.
What “the unconscious” really means, and how it quietly shapes our thoughts and choices.
How feelings like guilt and shame can affect us.
How dreams and symbols can give us clues about what’s going on inside, even when we are not fully aware of it.
These posts are for anyone curious about how therapy works, not just in theory, but in real life. You don’t need to know any jargon or have read Freud or Jung to find something useful here.
